In-House Training Programmes
TLSA has built its business and reputation on highly effective, practical tailored in-house training programmes, covering all aspects of leadership training, sales management training and sales training. As well as major projects for blue-chip organisations such as The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, Centrica, Phillips and Lombard, we run programmes for numerous corporate businesses and SMEs.
How is an in-house training programme designed and implemented?
Whether the project is created for 5 or 500 delegates TLSA uses a 5-step process to understand client needs and design a programme that delivers.
- Needs Analysis
A TLSA consultant will work with you to understand your needs and objectives – this can be done through meeting with stakeholders, a workshop or a consultancy project. Our experience has taught us that until these aspects have been agreed, the project cannot be professionally developed. - Proposal
Your TLSA consultant will prepare a detailed proposal designed to meet your needs and deliver your training objectives. It will outline the training solution, delivery style and follow-up. A project timetable, fee structure and conditions are also determined at this stage. - Training Material
TLSA will work with you to produce effective and inspiring material using a range of training options including: - Workshops
- Psychometric assessments
- 360 degree feedback
- Online self-development management modules
- Business games and simulations
- Pre-work – reading and projects
- Delivery
Your programme is delivered by your TLSA consultant or by a team under the consultant’s guidance. The delivery is animated by an appropriate combination of lectures, syndicates, project work and computer simulation. Throughout the training, delegates receive detailed supporting notes, visuals and handouts. - Validation
This is the training programme’s follow-up procedure which is either executed by your company or by TLSA, on your behalf, as agreed at the proposal stage. Options available include: - Validation Workshops – this involves delegates presenting to their peers, boss and the TLSA consultant how they have implemented the training in their personal roles. The presentations are made against a specific brief designed by TLSA as part of the programme. Many clients will integrate an accreditation or reward as part of the validation e.g. an incentive, improved salary or career development.
- One to One Field Visits with each delegate. The TLSA consultant accompanies the delegate for a day to evaluate how the training has been deployed, and then provides coaching and advice on future development. A full report is prepared for the delegate and line management.
- TLSA will design coaching packs to support line management in evaluating the execution of training and any ongoing coaching.
This attention to detail is a vital part of TLSA’s commitment to learning as a continual process that should never be knowingly undersold.
Who will direct and manage my in-house training project?
All TLSA consultants are people who have ‘walked the walk’. Everyone in the team is a hand-picked, highly qualified, top level consultant who has had a successful career in sales and marketing. In most cases, they have achieved director or senior executive positions in organisations with a record for performance, leadership and people development. This includes companies such as the Mars Group, Playtex, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, Oracle, Allied Dunbar, Gallagher and many others.
This cutting edge expertise and experience makes TLSA unique and means that we do more than just training. We can help solve your particular business problems by giving you the chance to work with a true expert in the areas you want – consultancy, training and support!
